Tooth Coloured Fillings

White fillings (also known as tooth coloured fillings or composite fillings) are the cosmetic choice in filling material and are used to repair teeth without being noticeable. These can be used anywhere in the mouth due to their aesthetic appearance.

White filling material is placed directly into the cavity of a tooth that has been prepared for the filling and then set hard using a special curing light.

White fillings are not as hard wearing as amalgam fillings and can pick up staining from strong food colouring such as tea, coffee, red wine and so on, however, due to the colour match, they are a popular cosmetic choice for our patients.
